General Transfer Procedures are as follows:
1. Need to update your whois info on the domain to reflect your current contact info. especially registrant and admin as that is where the transfer approval email will be sent.
2. You need to unlock the domain at the current registrar (this depends on the registrar as each has their own way of doing it)
3. Acquire the EPP/Authorization code (for .com/.net/.org/.info/.biz) domains
4. Transfer the domain name to Maine Hosting Solutions by emailing the Auth Code to domreg@mainehost.com. Once the transfer has been initiated you will receive an email authorizing the transfer, which you must accept in order for the transfer to proceed. You will need to click on the link 2/3 down the email to accept the transfer. It usually takes 5 - 7 business days to complete.
5. Approve the transfer when you receive the email
6. Be patient and wait. Transfers normally take anywhere from 5 to 7 days to complete.
